Learning Objectives

  • Summarize the multiple medical events leading to the discovery of Lyme arthritis (disease)
  • Identify the background historical clues, clinical manifestations, and diagnostic tests consistent with Lyme arthritis
  • Discuss the symptoms attributed to “post Lyme disease” syndrome and critique various proposed treatments
