Start Date: 2/23/2019Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Date: 2/23/2019End Time: 4:00 PM

Event Description

Meet Fisheries Biologists Allison Stoklosa and Raffaela Marano. Their work takes them into streams and rivers where they catch, identify and release freshwater fish to study population dynamics and water quality issues.

Come learn about your local freshwater fish and salamander species, and meet some of our species from the field. Try your hand at aging a fish using their otoliths (ear-bones), and match the fish to the age to win a prize! See photos and videos from the Fish Crew’s summer sampling. Learn what it’s like to be a fisheries scientist and what fish can tell you about your water.
