The opioid crisis is hitting our city hard — Philadelphia has the highest death rate associated with drug overdoses among the nation’s ten largest cities. One impact of the opioid crisis you may not be aware of is that it is causing an uptick in new diagnoses of HIV and hepatitis C among people who inject drugs.
