AAGA Art Auction

Event Description
The Arts Administration Graduate Association (AAGA) of Drexel University’s Antoinette Westphal College of Media Art and Design will hold its 11th Annual Silent Art Auction on Friday, February 28, 2014. The Art Auction offers guests the opportunity to bid on Philadelphia-based arts and culture experiences, as well as original artwork donated to the event. In addition to food and drink, the evening will feature entertainment provided by Grits and Grouper Soup, a local Philadelphia folk-band.

All proceeds from the auction support the AAGA’s annual trip to Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, DC. Organized by Americans for the Arts, this national summit brings together arts professionals from around the country. In a time when the arts sector is facing a challenging economic environment and reduced government support, Arts administration graduate students will meet with congressional representatives to advocate for the importance of supporting the arts and arts education.

Tickets are available at the door for $15 ($10 for Drexel Students/Staff/Faculty with ID) or in advance at http://drexelaaga.com.
