An Evening of African American Music: And They Sang a Hymn
Start Date: 2/7/2015Start Time: 5:00 PM
End Date: 2/7/2015End Time: 7:00 PM

Event Description
Hymns have been a staple in the African American church dating back to the 1800's. Names such as Watts, Wesley, Crosby, and Doane are heard weekly in many congregations. As times have changed, so has the presentation of hymns. Join the Gospel Choir as they render "gospelized" versions of some of your most beloved hymns. The Drexel Jazztet will also make an appearance, playing with the choir. This concert is free and open to the public!
