Event Description
Join us for a screening of the film Tunisian Women: We Will Stand Up!. On December 18, 2010, Tunisians of all ages took the streets of Tunis to demand better living conditions and the end of President Ben Ali’s repressive dictatorship---one of the beginning events to the 2011 Tunisian Revolution and Arab Spring. This documentary is a powerful story of seven women activists who devoted their lives to fight for freedom in their country. Pizza will be provided.
