Event Description Join the Philosophy Club for a FREE screening of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure!
Come and recline in the comfy Urban Annex Screening Room on July 6th from 6:30pm - 9:30pm.
What, precisely, is our relationship with history and the past? Why is it that history is often thought of as centering around a number of people so small so as to be stuffed into one phone booth? Do we see such people as more an idea with a face, rather than as actual people? Why are we so interested in how figures from history might interact with the present or other periods of history? Combine all of this with George Carlin and we have the makings of a most excellent movie night. Also, how can we not show a movie that introduced "So-Crates" to the world?
All are welcome! Bring a friend! |
