Event Description

On Thursday, March 12th at 7pm in the URBN Annex Screening Room, the Department of Cinema & Television presents a screening of Colewell. The second feature film from Film & Television program director Tom Quinn, Colewell stars Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Animal House, Scrooged) in a critically-acclaimed performance as Nora, the postmaster of a small Pennsylvania town. Colewell, which premiered at the San Francisco International Film Festival (SFFilm) in April, screened at numerous festivals throughout 2019 and received two Film Independent Spirit nominations. Los Angeles Timespraised Allen’s performance, cinematography by Paul Yee (The Fits), and Quinn’s direction, calling Colewell “the cinematic equivalent of a deep exhale after having attained peace within.” The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Quinn and Allen.
