Event Description Dr. Frank J. Lexa, vice chairman and professor of radiology at Drexel University College of Medicine, will discuss how diagnostic imaging plays a central role in modern health care. It is very rare that a patient goes to a hospital and manages to leave without undergoing an imaging test. Inpatient and outpatient medical care are increasingly dependent on imaging for diagnosis, treatment, and surveillance of both acute and chronic illnesses. This seminar will review current applications of imaging at the frontiers in medical care in order to highlight areas of opportunity for advancing the field. In particular, we will focus on areas of potential collaboration on projects of mutual interest. |
