Event Description
The Modern Languages Program will screen "Il Primo Incarico" in Italian with English subtitles. Following the film with be a talk in Italian by Lillyrose Veneziano Broccia, Interim Co-Director of the Italian Language Program at UPenn. Light refreshments will be provided.

Il Primo Incarico follows the life of a young woman leaving her family and lover behind to pursue her career as a teacher. She finds herself in an isolated mountain town with unruly children and a small, hostile environment. She stays courageous, believing she will survive until she can transfer back to her old life.
