Writing for a Cause: Fiction and Nonfiction as Agents for Change and Social Justice

Event Description
The Ugandan journalist and author of fiction, Jackee Budesta Batanda, will be at Drexel on Monday, March 5.
 
At 11 am she will conduct a writing workshop for students. At 3 pm she will read from her work and give a talk, "Writing for a Cause: Fiction and Non-Fiction as Agents for Change and Social Justice"
Her lecture is free and open to the public.
 
Students may submit work up to 1,250 words in length. (The workshop is limited to 10 students.) Students interested in attending the workshop should send their writing as a word doc to Dr. Miriam N. Kotzin at kotzinmn@drexel.edu by Friday, March 5.
