Identity theft continues to be one of the fastest growing crimes in the United States and has been ranked as one of the top consumer concerns.
This Healthier U Financial Fitness workshop will cover key points related to Identity Theft. This workshop will provide participants with information on how to protect themselves and their personal information from being stolen, when and where most information is stolen, how the information is used, and how the participant can both prevent Identity theft from happening and what to do if they discover their information has been stolen.
This event will also encompass a brief presentation by Chris Brutsche, Director of Benefits, about LifeLock, a Identity Theft product available to Drexel employees.
Objectives: By the end of the seminar participants will understand: • the definition of identity theft • the demographics of identity theft • the impact of identity theft • the signs that you are a victim • what to do if you become a victim • ways to protect yourself and reduce your exposure
