End Date: 4/16/2015End Time: 6:30 PM
Event Description
Ten professors stranded on a desert island and only one spot on the life raft...who will save humanity?!

The Premise: Ten professors are stranded on a desert island. With only one chance for escape (a single-person life raft), each “islander” must argue for why they—specifically, their discipline—is most deserving of survival.

The Islanders:

  • Ken Bingham, Department of English & Philosophy
  • George Ciccariello-Maher, PhD, Department of History & Politics
  • Dan Duran, PhD, Department of Biodiversity, Earth and Environmental Science
  • Carlo Fazioli, PhD, Department of Mathematics
  • Tony Glascock, PhD, Department of Anthropology
  • Naomi Goldstein, PhD, Department of Psychology
  • Susan Gurney, PhD, Department of Biology
  • Rob Kane, PhD, Department of Criminology & Justice Studies
  • Dan King, PhD, Department of Chemistry
  • Naoko Kurahashi Neilson, PhD, Department of Physics

Come clap, jeer, heckle and cheer for your favorite faculty member or discipline…only one can survive.
