Description: Sometimes we are filled with anxiety when we think about how we can be more, do more, expand our career options and take new risks. LEAP is designed to help you face those anxieties with a clear understanding of your gifts and aspirations, plus tools and knowledge to forge a new professional future. If you want to take charge of your development to move forward in your career, LEAP may be for you.
Prospective participants must attend the April 8 information session and be recommended by their manager or administrator.
Program sessions include:
- Career Development, Revisiting My Career, May 5, 9 a.m. – noon
- Career Development, My Vision For the Future, May 20, 9 – 11 a.m.
- Job Knowledge Development, Healthcare Quality Improvement Processes, June 5, noon – 1 p.m.
- Job Knowledge Development, I Am the Patient Experience, June 12, noon – 1 p.m.
- Individual Coaching sessions
Target audience: Non-manager College of Medicine staff who:
- Demonstrate mastery of their current role and receive positive performance reviews.
- Routinely go above and beyond to take on additional responsibilities and proactively address gaps or problems in their practice or department.
- Desire to move into a management role or contribute to the organization at a higher level.
- Have the respect of their peers, exerting a positive influence on others in their practice or department.
