Every year during Spring Term, the Drexel Muslim Students Association (DMSA) participates in a nationwide awareness movement called Islam Awareness Week or IAW. Throughout this week, students of the DMSA will be manning an activities stand during the day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. followed by special events on Friday.
This year's theme for the week is MERCY. We invite everyone to stop by the booth at the Dragon and our events in the evenings, ask questions, participate in activities, learn, and have fun meeting new people!
- Monday - Me - "Ask me, I'm Muslim" - 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Dragon Statue
- Tuesday - Empowerment - 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Dragon Statue
- Wednesday - Respect - 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Quad
- Thursday - Compassion - 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Dragon Statue and 7-9 p.m. at location TBD
- Fast-A-Thon!
Friday - You - Open Friday congregational prayer 1-2 p.m. on Buckley Field and an evening lecture by our keynote speaker, Chaplain Khalid Latif in Gerri C. Lebow Hall Room 031
