Event Description

Drexel Center for Women’s Health is hosting a CME conference, Updates in Women's Health.

Registration

Register online by March 8 to receive a printed syllabus. Registration is required, but there is no cost to attend.

For any non-Drexel faculty and staff who would like to claim CME credit, forms will be available at the conference; there is a $40 certificate fee. No charge for nursing education credits.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss the concept of sex differences in the pathophysiology and risk factors for ischemic heart disease
  • Describe the clinical approach to cardiovascular risk stratification in women
  • Discuss the various etiologies for the development of pelvic floor dysfunction and effective treatment regimens
  • Review surgical options available to gender transitioning individuals from the preoperative, operative and postoperative perspectives

  • Discuss the contraceptive options available in the U.S., and their medical contraindications and FDA guidelines

AMA Credit Designation Statement: The Drexel University College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AOA: This program is eligible for 4.25 credits in Category 2A of the American Osteopathic Association.

PSNA: Hahnemann University Hospital is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation; 4.1 contact hours will be awarded for attending the entire conference.
