It’s Not Just a Phase: Bisexual in a Gay/Straight World
Thursday, April 11th, from 1:30pm-3:00pm
Myers Hall Tutor Lounge
This program will center on an individual’s experience as a bisexual female in a society that wants everyone to check a box and choose his or her sexuality definitively. The program will also include a brief explanation of the social history of bisexuality in the U.S. and a discussion of the portrayal of bisexuality in the media.
This program is a part of Social Justice Week 2013. The Student Center for Inclusion and Culture, The Lindy Center for Civic Engagement, Hillel, and the Residential Living Office are happy to sponsor a week full of educational presentations that will help our community advance in the pursuit of social justice.
As a reward for those students committed to learning about Social Justice issues and in order to continue your education, we are offering a free trip to the Jewish American History Museum in Philadelphia on Sunday, April 21st at 11 am. In order to be considered for the trip, students have to attend a minimum of 3 Social Justice Week events. A sign-up sheet will be available at each event so please make sure to sign up each time you attend.
