Title of Talk:
Semi-Automatic Metadata Generation Workflow for Developing Continuing Education Resource Repository
Park will report on a high-level conceptualized workflow for the development of a repository related to continuing educational resources for the metadata professions. One of the major challenges facing cataloging and metadata communities’ concerns current developments and emerging trends in standards and technologies for managing digital information. Through utilization and integration of available open-source (semi) automatic metadata generation tools, we designed a self-sustaining repository while also generating high quality metadata for continuing education resources. Park’s research is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
