Description: Demonstrating tools such as Kaltura, YouTube, Screencast-o-Matic, Jing, Dragon Drop, and Camtasia Relay, learn how to upload professor-created videos. Real world examples from the online and face-to-face classroom, will be discussed. “A day in the life of a Professor” will illustrate what can be accomplished using this technology.
Purpose: To enable the nurse to implement technology, tools and resources that support student learning in order to enhance the online educational environment.
Target Audience: Registered Nurses, Academic Faculty, Clinical Faculty, Education Specialists
Overall Program Objectives: Articulate why videos are being used in higher education blended and online classrooms; Demonstrate the use of platforms to upload videos into Blackboard Learn; and Discuss alternative uses for video in the online classroom other than course content introduction.
