The Census Bureau collects health insurance data using three national surveys: the Current Population Survey's Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC), the American Community Survey (ACS), the Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) and one model based program, the Small Area Health Insurance Program (SAIPE). The workshop will provide a review of each of these programs with emphasis on the American Community Survey. Participants will have hands-on computer training on finding Census data using Census.gov and American FactFinder. Noemi Mendez, a Data Dissemination Specialist at the U. S. Census Bureau will present. |
