End Date: 4/13/2017End Time: 8:00 PM

Event Description
This information and education event is mandatory for any student planning to participate in the spring 2017 Business Model Competition. In addition to the competition rules, you will learn a set of tactics and methods that get you to a better understanding of potential customer needs. The competition presentation will be centered on what you will have learned regarding those needs.

Our special guest speaker is Joel Eden. Joel is currently a Senior UX Product Manager at Checkpoint Systems, in the area of RFID for large apparel retail. He recently moved back from California where he worked at Disney Animation Studios designing tools for animators and story artists (credits on Frozen and Big Hero 6), and at Google working on creativity tools for children and families. Before this, Joel worked in many areas related to user experience design, including as a director of UX, UX consultant, and before all of that he worked at Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Technology Labs, using ideas from nature for how to design in the area of emergent complex systems. Joel earned a B.S. in computer science, as well as a PhD in information science, focused on human-computer interaction, both from Drexel University.
