Women in the Hospitality Industry Dinner

Event Description

As the inaugural event of the Spring Dinner Series, the Center for Hospitality and Sport Management will be hosting the Women in the Hospitality Industry Dinner on April 16 at 5:30pm.  Celebrate women in the hospitality industry with a dinner from chefs Tia McDonald (Vetri Foundation) and Barbie Marshall (Green Meadow Farm) and sommeliers Megan Storm (The Artisan's Cellar) and Mariel Waga (a.bar and a.kitchen).

The Women in the Hospitality Industry Dinner will begin with a happy hour at 5:30pm with passed hors d'oeuvres followed by dinner at 6pm.  The dinner will be held in the Academic Bistro on the 6th floor of the Paul Peck Problem Solving and Research Building at 101 N. 33rd Street. Meals for these events are prepared by Drexel Culinary Arts students in Chef Mike Traud’s a la carte cuisine class with service by Drexel Hospitality Management students in Prof. Paul O’Neill’s Fine Dining class.

 

Menu

First Course - Pork trotter terrine with shaved asparagus, orange champagne vinaigrette and crispy leeks

Second Course - Sunchoke soup with seasonal mushrooms

Third Course - Ribeye with salsify ragout, roasted tomato, baby bok choy

Fourth Course -Chiffon cake with wine berry preserve, African blue basil, and pistachio brittle

(Each course will be accompanied by a wine pairing from sommelier Megan Storm)

The cost of the dinner will be $50 per person.

The Center for Hospitality and Sport Management’s Spring Dinner Series features renowned chefs, authors, farms, beverage companies and purveyors.  The dinner series was designed to showcase and acknowledge several of the center’s collaborators, sponsors and partners.
