Sometimes it feels like we are more polarized than ever. We may feel committed to confronting challenging, contentious, and sometimes uncomfortable ideas, but may not feel that we have the skills to do so in a way that is productive and can lead to transformative learning.
The next meeting of the Forum for Inclusive Culture (iForum) will take place on Wednesday, April 25, at 1:00 p.m. in the James E. Marks Intercultural Center (3225 Arch Street). This meeting is being co-sponsored by the Lindy Center and the Office of Equality and Diversity, and will focus on having tough conversations. Please feel free to bring your lunch; we will provide some sweet treats. Email jkrohn@drexel.edu to RSVP, provide feedback on the discussion topic, and/or suggest additional agenda items.
About the iForum: The iForum is an open-membership coalition of students, faculty, professional staff and community members that gathers no less than quarterly to address issues of diversity and inclusion affecting the Drexel community. Meetings typically begin with announcements, have a central discussion topic, and close out with suggestions, determination of next steps, and troubleshooting. All are welcome to come and participate, and we value newcomers who keep the group fresh and responsive to developments on campus. Join us! |
