Event Description This year’s performance will include 20 songs, and features Jerome Kern and Dorothy Fields’ “The Way You Look Tonight,” Oliver Nelson’s “Stolen Moments,” and Duke Ellington and Irving Mills’ “It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing),” along with other favorites by Harold Arlen, Michael Buble, and George Gershwin. The concert includes arrangements recorded by current vocal jazz groups such as the Manhattan Transfer, and the New York Voices. Naturally Sharp is an auditioned group of 15 singers that perform in formal eveningwear with a three-piece back-up band. The group performs “anything that swings,” with songs selected from the last 100 years of vocal jazz favorites. |
