About Last Year's Event:

Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital had its first Program Manager Retreat on Friday, April 29, 2016. The meeting took place on the 19th Floor, in the Executive Board Room from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. There were program managers, administrators, GME representatives and several guest physicians in attendance.

Guest speakers included Dr. Anita Gupta: True Colors Medicine; Dr. Carrie Cusack: Research: How to Submit an Abstract; Dr. Andres Castellanos: Importance of the Program Director/Program Manager Relationship; and Dr. Allison Ferris: Documentation: Pearls and Pitfalls. Our own program managers, Phyllis Lewis: Your Program in Distress: The Coordinator’s Role as Rescuer; Akimi Jones: Team Building; and Patricia Lawrence and Sandra Vera Erby: Changing Role of the Program Manager did a fantastic job presenting to the group. All program managers participated in discussions about institutional goals, program goals and professional development goals for the next year.
