Event Description
RStudio ioslides is a technology for authoring presentations, reports, and web pages based on the R Markdown language (Rmd). R is an open source software originally developed for statistical computing but has since evolved and became widely popular for performing analytics in both the academic and the business environments.
This presentation will showcase the use of RStudio ioslides to make presentations that include dynamical elements, with examples that are taken from actual teaching experiences at Drexel. The examples are specifically orientated towards STEM subjects and highlight the use of interactive plots to break the barrier of understanding mathematical notation. The presentation will also cover the broader scientific initiative of making research reproducible.
Presenter: Dr. Maher Harb, Assistant Professor at the Drexel College of Engineering
