Topic: The Cross-Pollination of Innovative Methods in Health Communication, Predictive Analytics and Advanced Technologies for Public Health

About the Speaker:
Raed Mansour is the Innovation Projects Lead at the Chicago Department of Public Health. He works on building capacity and sustainability through collaborations with Chicago’s civic tech community for CDPH’s data science initiatives and application development that can be applied to public health practice. Examples include being the Project Director for the Childhood Lead Hazard Data Sharing Across Sectors of Health using predictive analytics, and app development like the award winning FoodBorne Chicago. Mansour is adjunct faculty at Boston University’s Graduate Program in Health Communication. Mansour also serves as a newly elected Section Councilor with the Health Administration Section of the American Public Health Association. Prior to that, his positions included coordinator of public information at the University of Illinois at Chicago Midwest Latino Health, Research, Training and Policy Center, a genetic engineering research assistant at Purdue University and a clinical biochemistry fellow. He has a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Animal Physiology from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Health Communication from Boston University and a Certificate in Predictive Analytics from DePaul University.
