Event Description
Language of Oppression
Tuesday, April 9th, from 6:00pm-7:30pm
North Hall Multi-Purpose Room
This program will talk about language in regards to racial identity. Language has been used throughout history to inspire, motivate, and liberate people. But, it also has been used to re-define the "enemy" and "justify" their suppression, separation, and extermination.

This program is a part of Social Justice Week 2013. The Student Center for Inclusion and Culture, The Lindy Center for Civic Engagement, Hillel, and the Residential Living Office are happy to sponsor a week full of educational presentations that will help our community advance in the pursuit of social justice.
