Join the Department of English and Philosophy for a fundraiser to support Port-au-Prince's Love Orphanage, home to 15 children orphaned by 2010's catastrophic Haitian earthquake.
All money raised will be delivered directly to the children in Haiti by a group of Drexel students—eight graduate nursing students and eight students enrolled in English 103 and the Certificate in Writing and Publishing program—traveling to the country on June 16.
The evening will include a slideshow illustrating how your contributions will be used to support the Love Orphanage, as well as student presentations on Haitian artist Hector Hippolyte and author Yanick Lahrens, created in preparation for their trip. Event will include light food and music.
An optional contribution of $5 is suggested.
