Event Description The new University City branch of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, located at Chestnut Square on Drexel’s campus, will host grand opening celebrations on Thursday, May 1, and Friday, May 2.
On Thursday, activities will occur at the Dragon Statue at 33rd and Market Streets between noon and 6 p.m. Festivities include appearances by Mario the Dragon, Drexel cheerleaders, Women’s Basketball Head Coach Denise Dillon and Women’s Soccer Head Coach Ray Goon. There will also be a digital photo booth and free food.
On Friday, activities take place at the credit union’s 3200 Chestnut Street branch from noon to 7 p.m., featuring a massage therapist, free food, music and prizes. The two-day event also features a contest to win Lady Gaga concert tickets and a chance to win $200 by unlocking the FMFCU Treasure Chest.
