Event Description
Seniors, Co-op Students and Alumni Recommended! Click here to register for FREE! Limited seating!

Have you ever thought about the impression you make on others? Learn to present yourself with confidence and authority because research shows that 93% of what someone remembers after meeting you for the first time is how you looked and how you behaved, only 7% is content or what you had to say. Today in the fiercely competitive business arenas, etiquette is simply another tool you need. While etiquette alone won’t get you anywhere, it will give you that extra edge that will make the difference between you and another person who is just as smart.

The Drexel Senior Experience, Drexel University Alumni Association, and Student Alumni Association are sponsoring and hosting a Business Etiquette Training and Networking Reception for graduating seniors and alumni in order to help prepare seniors for their entry into the professional world, as well as to introduce them to members of the Alumni Association. The evening will include business networking and etiquette training provided by a professional coach, Ms. Gail Madison, director of The Madison School of Etiquette and Protocol. Following the instruction, attendees will be able to practice their new skills during a networking reception. Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided. Dress code is professional business attire. Bring your business cards.

What You’ll Learn During the Training: Communication Skills - Networking Savvy & Strategies - Personal & Professional Impression Management - How to Make an Entrance & Work the Room - Handshaking: The Ultimate Greeting - Introducing Yourself & Others - Forms of Address - Eye Contact - Rising to the Occasion - Remembering Names - Conversation Skills - Nonverbal Communications - Business Arena Communications - Business Card Protocol - Dressing for Success - Total Quality in the Business Arena - More tips to help you edge the competition!

*This “CEO LEAD Certified” event is part of the “Drexel Senior Experience” and will be a great opportunity for Drexel seniors and alumni to participate in this unique pre-commencement / career-oriented event designed exclusively for graduating seniors, co-op students and alumni who want to connect with and potentially recruit talented Drexel students. This event will celebrate the Senior Class of 2014. Limited seating is available – register early to secure your reservation!
