Dick Polman is the University of Pennsylvania's "Writer in Residence"--- a full-time journalism instructor in the Center for Programs and Contemporary Writing---and a 40-year veteran of the journalism business. During his long career at The Philadelphia Inquirer, he was a features writer, Sunday magazine writer, foreign correspondent based in London, roving national correspondent, national political writer, and national political columnist. He has covered or chronicled every presidential campaign since 1988, and has blogged on politics five days a week since 2006. His "National Interest" blog - hosted on WHYY's Newsworks website, at newsworks.org/polman debuted in 2011. A Center City resident, Dick has also been a frequent guest on C-SPAN, CNN, MSNBC, the BBC and various NPR shows --- most notably Philadelphia's "Radio Times" on WHYY-FM. |
