Event Description
After the formal Graduate Student Day awards ceremony and reception, festivities will continue for graduate students!
The Graduate Student Association (GSA) will host an End-of-Year Blowout benefit from 8PM-2AM that evening at Soundgarden Hall (Spring Garden Street and Columbus Boulevard).
The benefit will feature two DJs from the radio station Wired 96.5, Mijo and Ric City, as well as the College of Medicine’s own DJ NAJ.
Food and drinks are included with tickets, which will be $10 for graduate students and $20 for guests. Tickets will be available online and walk-in registration with cash payment will also be welcome during the first hour or so of the night (space permitting).
Shuttles will return attendees to Center City and University City from midnight to 2:30AM.
All graduate students, as well as alumni and guests, are invited to attend.
Proceeds from the benefit will go to Spells Writing Lab, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization that develops the creative and expository writing abilities of school-age children through free, fun and imaginative writing programs and teacher development opportunities.
