Event Description

The Africana Studies program, the Biddle Law Society, and the Drexel Black Graduate Student Union present: STAND YOUR GROUND, a panel discussion.

On the year anniversary of Trayvon Martin’s murder, and after countless victims have fallen because of the Stand Your Ground laws, can we say that anything has really changed? Join us for a candid panel discussion that will examine these laws, especially in relation to the minority community.

Moderator:
Shesheena Bray - Counselor at the Upward Bound program – University of Pennsylvania, Activist – Sankofa Community Empowerment

Panelists:
Gabriel Bryant - Activist – Sankofa Community Empowerment, Director- Young Men's Initiative- Philadelphia Futures, Organizer – Askia Coalition against Police Brutality, Radio host- G-Town Radio
