Event Description
In the wake of the Zimmerman verdict, many have expressed outrage, as exhibited through nationwide protests.  But where do we go from here?

Join the Africana Studies program for a candid panel discussion on race, justice and activism. This event will include:
 
  • Dr. Monteiro: distinguished lecturer; associate director of the Institute for the Study of Race and Social Thought – Temple University
  • Dr. Donald Tibbs: associate professor of law – Drexel; author of From Black Power to Prison Power: The Making of Jones v. North Carolina Prisoners' Labor Union
  • Shesheena Bray: counselor – Upward Bound Program – University of Pennsylvania; activist – Sankofa Community Empowerment; organizer – Askia Coalition Against Police Brutality
  • Gabriel Bryant: activist – Sankofa Community Empowerment; director – Young Men's Initiative – Philadelphia Futures; organizer – Askia Coalition Against Police Brutality; Radio Host – G-Town Radio)
