Event Description
Have you ever had a student disclose a disability to you and/or provide you with an Accommodation Verification Letter (AVL) and had questions about what the next step was for you to best work with the student? In keeping with the University’s commitment to diversity, the Office of Disability Resources (ODR) is offering a workshop for faculty and staff on best practices when working with Drexel students with disabilities. This session will touch on how the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) applies to higher education, the role of ODR at Drexel University for people with and without disabilities, common questions and best practices in working with students with disabilities, current Drexel policies regarding reasonable accommodations, and making appropriate referrals.
Register for this workshop in Career Pathway via DrexelOne.
