Event Description
Speaker: Scarlett Bellamy, ScD, Associate Professor of Biostatistics at HUP, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine

Bio: Dr. Bellamy’s research interests are focused on the methodological issues related to the design and analysis of cluster-randomized trials. She is particularly interested in applying this methodology to community-based research projects and to projects which address health disparities for a variety of clinical and behavioral health outcomes. Currently, her collaborative projects include studies of women's reproductive health, HIV behavioral risk reduction for African Americans, as well as mental health issues of the elderly.  Dr. Bellamy earned her masters and doctorate in biostatistics at Harvard University. Since 2011, she has been a professor of biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) School of Medicine. She is also a Senior Scholar at UPenn Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CCEB).
