Join animal behaviorist and The New York Times best-selling author Alexandra Horowitz for "From a Dog’s Point of Nose," a discussion about the latest discoveries in the field of animal cognition research and her lab’s work to try to find out what it is really like to be man’s best friend.

Alexandra Horowitz is the author of The New York Times best-seller Inside of a Dog: What Dogs See, Smell, and Know (2009). She teaches psychology, animal behavior, and canine cognition at Barnard College at Columbia University. The Horowitz Dog Cognition Lab conducts research on dog olfaction, play behavior, and attributions of emotions to dogs. Horowitz is also author of On Looking: Eleven Walks with Expert Eyes (2013). She lives with her husband, son, and two large, non-heeling dogs in New York City.

The talk will be followed by a book signing.
