Event Description National Prevention Week is sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in Washington, DC. This day is this is a time to reflect on what we, as individuals, can do the prevent problems related to alcohol and other drug abuse. One thing that is easy to do is to make a choice to engage in healthy choices such as spending time with friends, being physically active, eating healthy, joining a student or staff organization, managing stress and asking for help from those around us when we need it then sharing those ideas and experiences with others.
We ask you to participate in National Prevention Day by posting photos on either Twitter or Instagram of just you showing how you maintain a healthy lifestyle and/or what you do to have fun not using substances. Remember to use the hashtags: #Chooseprevention and #Drexel in your posts! |
