A Drexel (Global Passport Series) GPS: Enter the World event. Following the elections in the United States, the "Brexit" in Britain, and nationalistic governments in Russia, India, Turkey and elsewhere, violent attacks against populations perceived as the “other” are on the rise. Here in the United States, Muslims, Sikhs and Jews are being targeted specifically for their religious beliefs. We invite you to a panel discussion on the “Rise of Global Extremism and the Rights of Religious Minorities” at Drexel University with Simran Jeet Singh, PhD, Sangay Mishra, PhD, and Debjani Bhattacharyya, PhD. RSVP to Jacqueline Rios, jsr62@drexel.edu. This is the final event of the Drexel (Global Passport Series) GPS: Enter the World for this academic year. This series centers on "Global Civic Engagement.” Drexel GPS seeks to facilitate global conversations at Drexel and in Philadelphia to ensure rich student engagement and build strong partnerships with local communities and organizations. Co-sponsored by: Drexel's Department of Global Studies and Modern Languages, Drs. Navjeet and Gurcharan Singh, and Drexel's College of Arts and Sciences. |
