Writing personal statements for medical or dental school applications
Start Date: 5/1/2018Start Time: 12:00 PM
End Date: 5/1/2018End Time: 1:00 PM

Event Description
The personal statement is your opportunity to introduce yourself to admissions committees and to demonstrate an informed and mature perspective on your motivation and passion for a career in medicine or dentistry. The task of “telling your story” in one single-spaced page of text can be daunting at first, but this workshop will provide tips on choosing topics for and getting started on the personal statement.  The AMCAS, AACOMAS, TMDSAS, and AADSAS applications also include sections to describe work, volunteer, and extracurricular activities; thus, the relationship between these sections of the applications and the personal statement will be also be discussed.
