End Date: 5/11/2018End Time: 12:00 PM

Event Description
With Dr. Zhongmin Cai, Professor, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China

This event is free and open to all Drexel faculty, professional staff and students.

Talk Abstract:
As people’s lives are more involved with various computers or smart devices, a lot of our activities are now observable in these devices and automatic behavioral analysis is becoming a feasible and promising research direction. This talk will present several pieces of our work related to behavioral analysis and computer security. I will show that the seemingly obscure behaviors that are sensed by smart devices, such as computer mouse activity, smartphone touch operations and walking patterns, may contain valuable information which can be used to strengthen the security of our computer systems.

About the Speaker:
Zhongmin Cai is a professor in the Automation Department at Xi'an Jiaotong University, China. He is now on sabbatical and visiting at the HCI Institute of Carnegie Melon University and EE Department of University of Pittsburgh.
