Event Description
Few employers will pay you to live and work abroad, but the U.S. Department of State is one of them. They hire Americans over the age of 20 from all backgrounds. If you are attracted to public service and want to live abroad, come hear more about this unique lifestyle from career diplomat Usha Pitts. Ms. Pitts will provide tips for taking the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT), open to all aspiring diplomats.
Americans who speak intermediate/advanced Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or Mandarin can also apply for the Consular Fellows Program, a contract job providing services to the public at U.S. Embassies abroad. New and mid-career professionals can apply for specialist jobs in information technology, office management, law enforcement, security, medicine, construction, and engineering. You can find more details about working for the U.S. Department of State at careers.state.gov and facebook.com/DIRNYMetro.
This event is open to the public. Drexel students should register in advance. |
