Event Description The Drexel Chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS) will be hosting the Annual SPS National Zone 3 Meeting in conjunction with the Southeastern PA American Association of Physics Teachers (SEPA AAPT) Spring Meeting April 26-27 on Drexel’s University City campus.
Join us for interactive workshops, science competitions, research presentations, featured speakers, and more! Our first invited speaker will be Dr. Sarah Demers, Assistant Professor at Yale University and member of the ATLAS experiment at CERN. Our plenary speaker will be Ken Fink. He is a Drexel alumnus and the founder of Whatergy, Inc., a company which designs and presents exciting science shows for people of all ages.
Registration is now open for all current students and faculty at: http://www.drexel.edu/physics/news/calendar/SPS%20Meeting/ We encourage undergraduate students to present their current research. All abstracts will be permitted to present!
Our plenary presentation, Iron Physicist (a science version of the tv show Iron Chef) will be open to the public and is also a Philadelphia Science Festival event! |
