A lifelong Philadelphian, Jane Scaccetti has been a practicing CPA since 1977. She has extensive experience in tax and financial services for the family-owned and entrepreneurially driven business. Jane consults with public and privately owned companies and provides financial counseling to both corporate and individuals.

In 1987, while a partner in the national accounting firm of Laventhol & Horwath, Jane became the first woman tax partner of any Big Eight firm in Philadelphia. In 1990, she was a founding shareholder of D&S. As CEO, she leads over 70 employees plus two active affiliates and related business operations. She is responsible for strategic initiatives, business development and professional career development while continuing to service complex family-owned and closely-held businesses. Jane has proven expertise in retail, real estate, distribution and healthcare and sophisticated wealth planning techniques and board governance. She is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.

Jane’s civic and community service includes serving as a trustee of Temple University, where she chairs the Health Enterprise Committee. She also sits as a trustee of Salus University, where she chairs the Finance Committee. She served as chair of the board of Temple University Health System for 5 years from 2008-2013 and continues as a member of the Board of Directors chairing the Finance and Investment Committee. Jane is also the current chair of the board at Temple University Hospital.

In 2015, Jane joined the board of Penn National Gaming, Inc. (NASDAQ: PENN). There she serves as chair of the Audit Committee. PENN owns and operates casinos and racetracks. In 2016, she was elected to the board of Myers International (NYSE: MYE), an international manufacturer of polymer products for industrial, agricultural, automotive, commercial, and consumer markets. She also serves on the board of Mathematica Policy Research and is a member of its Audit Committee. Previously, Jane was a member of the board of The Pep Boys (NYSE:PBY) from 2002-2016. She served as chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nominations and Governance Committee. PBY was a New York Stock Exchange company with over $2B in sales when it was sold to a private firm in 2016.

Jane is active in civic matters as a member of the Philadelphia 2016 DNC Host Committee, Mayor Rendell’s 1992 Transition Team, and the Committee for Judicial and U.S. Attorney Nominations for the Eastern District of PA (1993-95). From 1990-92, She was a full-time professor at Temple University, teaching taxation in the master’s program and managerial accounting as part of the undergraduate curriculum. Jane is the first woman regular host of Money Matters TV, a locally produced financial-focused program.

Jane is a 2016 recipient of the Take the Lead Award from the Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, the 2014 Temple University Hospital Diamond Award and a 2013 inaugural recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal Outstanding Directors Award. In 2006 Jane received the PA Best 50 Women in Business Award and the Pinnacle Award. And in 2010, she was honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a Woman of Distinction.
