Event Description Join the Center for the Advancement for STEM Teaching and Learning Excellence (CASTLE) for a seminar with Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker, Ph.D., and Director of the Science Education Department with the Department of Energy's Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. Dr. Zwicker will speak about "Science Literacy in the Present Day."
About Andrew Zwicker, PhD: Andrew
Zwicker is a physicist and science educator. A fellow of the American
Physical Society, The American Association of Physics Teachers has named
him to its list of 75 leading contributors to physics education. He is
the Editor of the APS Forum on Physics and Society’s newsletter and a
past chair of that Forum. Additionally, he is a past member of the APS
Committee on Education. At Princeton University he is a lecturer in the
Writing Program and a faculty advisor for freshmen and sophomores.
About the CASTLE Seminar Series: The Seminar Series is focused on continuous improvements in STEM education teaching and learning. Speakers from a variety of institutions and internal experts from Drexel University are invited to lead conversations on local, regional and national trends in the transformation of STEM Education.
