Event Description

Abby’s capstone research is an investigation into slow movement culture, particularly as a response to the fast-paced, disposable consumer culture of the early 21st century. Her work focuses on the way in which crafting and a do-it-yourself (DIY) ethos are manifestations of slow movement, and it will culminate in a community event celebrating craft.
