Announcing HEALTH TRAILS!
A Healthier U is pleased to announce the launch of the 2nd annual Drexel University Health Trails program. This year’s program allows you to choose one of five trails to keep you moving towards better health.
What could be more fun than tracking health improvement on interactive trails from all
over the world? Whether it’s Cambrian Way in Wales, Pacific Northwest Trail in Montana/
Idaho/Washington, Snowman Trek in Bhutan, or any of the other fascinating international
trails, you’ll be inspired to keep moving toward better health. You may switch trails at any time.
Your goal in this program is to move at least 400 miles along the trail(s) of your choice during this 8-week program. You can meet this goal through a combination of activities. We recommend that you log an average of at least 30 minutes of exercise per day for at least 5 days out of the week. We also recommend that you log at least 5 produce servings per day, each day of the week.
And, finally, this program has a new health-tracking feature: “2-minute time-out.” 2-minute time-outs are stretching or strengthening breaks taken in the middle of your busy work day. We recommend that you take an average of at least two 2-minute stretch breaks 5 days a week.
Registration will launch Monday May 25th, 2015. You can begin logging hours on Monday June 1st. Registration closes June 8, 2015, and this 8-week competition ends on Sunday July 26th.
Form a team and compete to win. This year’s competition will feature a prize for the top team as well as an incentive for every individual who completes the challenge.
Everyone who completes the challenge of moving at least 400 miles along the trail(s) will receive a $15 prepaid gift card provided by Health Enhancement Systems.
The top team members will receive a $25 Dragon Dollars gift card.
This competition is open to all Drexel University faculty and professional staff.
