Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the epidemiology of unintentional injury and maltreatment in children
- Review clinical decision rules for imaging children with blunt head and abdominal trauma to identify children needing CT scans
- Articulate the current utilization of massive transfusion protocols and contemporary strategies to improve outcomes in the injured child with severe hemorrhage
