Event Description
On Saturday June 8th MadKo Concerts will present a showcase of local talent at Philadelphia’s most celebrated venue, The Legendary Dobbs. From Drexel’s own singer/songwriter Anna Greenwald to the alternative/pop-punk jams of Left Brain//Right Brain, the student-run concert promotion entity has organized an eclectic line-up of musicians. The show will also feature the two-piece jam machine Boss Logic and hip-hop from the ever soulful and poetic Andre Saunders. Tickets are available for $5 in advance, $7 day of show.
ANNA GREENWALD: Anna Greenwald is a Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter from Madison, WI. A Music Industry student at Drexel University, Anna uses real-life experience to fuel her songwriting. She has been performing as a solo act since 2008, but welcomed co-producer, Kosta Johnson (drums) and Jake Fabian (lead guitar) into the band in the fall of 2012. A classically trained singer, Anna also plays piano and rhythm guitar, in addition to writing and performing her own songs. Her music is vibrant, her life unpredictable, and her wrestling title at the Redneck Olympics undefeated (not confirmed).

LEFT BRAIN//RIGHT BRAIN: Left Brain//Right Brain is Sam Cruzado, Sam Palumbo, and Ross Robey. Based out of Philadelphia, the three musicians push the boundaries of alternative rock combining complex melodies reminiscent of emo from the 90s, the famous pop punk sound of the 2000s, and their own modern sound to create music never heard before.

BOSS LOGIC: Boss Logic is a two-piece jam machine composed of singer and guitarist Sam Palumbo and drummer Lucas Kozinski. After months of churning out nameless, jazzy tunes, the jam machine has got its cogs spinning at the perfect speed and with just the right amount of grease. Come watch the machine heave and thrust, mash and steam as pistons fire and gears shift. Let your brain sizzle as your face melts. The heat of the machine is for more than any mortal man can handle! Feast your eyes! Surrender your ears…. to Boss Logic!

ANDRE SAUNDERS: Andre Saunders is a music artist and poet from Philadelphia who has a passion and sincere drive for creating music. Through his work he tries to capture the inner feelings and emotions of his audience. Knowing how powerful words can be, he uses them wisely as he reflects on honest moments of his life while also trying to be a positive influence to others. His storytelling and honest approach has been successful as he continues to further progress as an artist. Andre recently released his latest project entitled "Restless Dreams" and is continuing to pick up momentum.
